As you would have noted from my previous post, I am challenging myself to shop my closet for the entire month of July. I thought it would be a great idea to photograph my outfit combinations each day. Now if only I could get my husband to agree to being my personal photographer for the next few weeks…hmmm I’m sure we will work something out (wink). Anywho this should be pretty fun especially considering the fact that I have a lot of new items that I want to wear before the end of summer. I have several upcoming events to attend and a mini road trip planned with my mom so I am anxious to see how I will respond under the pressure. I hope you all enjoy my daily looks. I will try to list where I got the clothing items just in case you all have any questions.

So since I have been shopping pretty regularly for the past few weeks, I am challenging myself not to shop during the month of July. Shocking I know! My friends and family do not think I can pull it off but I believe I can with a little creativity. I have agreed not to buy any clothing, shoes, accessories, or even home goods for the entire month. They are betting that I will fail (how sad of them to doubt me LOL) but I believe that this challenge will allow me to really utilize what I already have and hopefully teach me that less is more if you know how to work it! So this is my last week of shopping and then I will be going cold turkey for 31 whole days!! But I will succeed by any means necessary-even if that means handcuffing my hands behind my back so that I can’t surf the internet for deals, hiding my car keys so I can’t drive to my nearest mall, or even hiding my bank cards! Yes…it’s that serious! I’m curious to see how much money I will be able to save by limiting my spending to necessities only. Stay tuned for the results.

I will be posting some helpful tips for maintaining my sanity throughout this process. I don’t think it will be as hard for me as my family thinks. I have lots of hobbies to keep me busy. I would love it if some of you would join in this challenge with me! We could have our own little shopaholics support group going on the blog. I was a very creative child. I loved to write, dance, act in skits with my friends, create funky hairstyles, etc. As I got older I put my creativity on the back burner in order to dedicate myself to a more professional lifestyle. Although I try to ignore her, my creative self is yearning more and more each day to reappear so I am finally giving in! I am giving my dormant creativity permission to ARISE! As the title indicated to you, this will be a catchall of all the things I am interested in from fashion, to interior design, to do it yourself projects and more.
